Just because you're woking out doesn't mean you have to look like a frump!
Here to show us how to look good while doing good was personal shopper Dani Juhala.
Here were some of her tips:
How to get your Work-Out Clothes in Tip-Top Shape
- Fit: choose wisely – the better the fit for your exercise, the better you will feel. Make sure you have the right support underneath – undergarments should be fitted, provide support and made of a moisture wicking fabric.
- Function: Are you going for a run? Are you attending a kick-boxing class? Yoga? Spinning? Wear a functional outfit – nothing too loose or too tight – avoid loose shorts that can cause chafing or soaking wet cotton t-shirts. Also: make sure you try and wear shoes before you buy them – a specialty shoe store will provide better choices and options for you.
- Comfort: think layers.
- Style: what’s your style when wearing "regular" clothes? Reflect that while working out! Choose color and don’t forget details – remember: if you are wearing a flattering outfit you will be more motivated to go to the gym! BUT: forget about heavy makeup – it will clog your pores and make you break out. Also, skip the jewelry and the big hairdoJ
Quick Tip: Ever wondered how to get rid of the smell in your work out clothes: simply add 2 cups of white vinegar – a wonderful "green" way to make your clothes smell fresh again!
